Diameter and Bore
Here at Infinity, we offer three different miter saw specific blades, including a 10" blade with 5/8" bore, a 12" blade with 1" bore, and now a 260mm blade with 30mm bore made specifically for miter saws like the Festool Kapex. We start with cold-rolled steel bodes that are laser cut, stress relieved, and tensioned, ensuring a blade that runs true in even the most demanding situations. Then, we add C4 micro-grain carbide teeth that take a sharper edge and are physically larger than the competition. This means your Infinity blade will last longer between sharpening—not to mention increasing the number of times you can have our blades re-sharpened with excellent results. Finally, we Chrome-Armor plate each blade. This Chrome-Armor plating has several advantages over paint. Chrome-Armor is tougher and won't wear off, it's highly corrosion-resistant, it's slick and reduces heat generation, it makes cleaning away pitch and sap buildup easier, and it looks great.
Tooth Count and Geometry
The 010-281 Miter Saw Blade has 80 teeth configured in an ATB-R geometry. For every set of five teeth, there are four 30° ATB teeth and one triple-chip raker tooth. What does this mean for you? It means you can expect an extremely smooth and consistent crosscut, excellent blade longevity, and an almost perfectly flat bottom kerf. Each tooth also has -5° of rake. A negative rake reduces climbing and self-feeding of the blade when used in miter saws. In other words, The blade is safer, easier to control, and more predictable in a variety of materials. This is especially true in sliding saws like the Kapex.
