DIFFERENCES IN OUR WATER-BASED TOP COATS

HIGH PERFORMANCE

General Finishes High Performance top coat is an interior-use product that is appropriate for most applications.  It dries completely clear and is usually ready to recoat in 1-2 hours. This is commonly used over stains or paint, for furniture, tables, millwork, railings, and more.

ENDURO-VAR

Enduro-Var is a water-based topcoat designed specifically to amber wood in a similar fashion to oil-based products.  It should be used for interior applications only, and dries to a very hard finish, which can be polished to an ultra-high gloss.  Enduro-Var should be used on raw or stained wood applications only.  

EXTERIOR 450

Exterior 450 is an exterior rated product that will adhere to both wood and fiberglass.  Exterior 450 is typically used on exterior furniture, tables, sculptures and more.  This product is UV stable and is able to expand and contract with wood due to seasonal changes without cracking.  Not designed for use on decks.
