Venturi Vacuum Switch

If you've been wanting to get into the vacu-form game, now is the time. This Venturi Vacuum Swtich will turn any air compressor into a real suction machine. Just plug your compressor into one end, move the switch to the vacuum setting, and plug the other end into your vacuum device. The outward pressure exerted by your compressor is used to pull air out of the vacuuming end of the switch, allowing you to use vacuum bags to make laminate work, secure suction base products (like our 100-149 Oval and Circle Cutting Jigs), and even power vacuum form systems for plastics and fiiberglass.

Accessories for the Venturi are soon to come as well, including pressure gauages and quick-connect fittings.

Features Include:

  • Venturi Vacuum Switch unit with on/off switch
  • Orange vacuum hose (36" long x 8x5mm diameter)
  • Requires minimum 2.5 CFM @ 90 PSI

Uses in your shop

  • Convert your standard air compressor into a suction machine
  • Connect to your vacuum bag to make vacu-formed laminates
  • Secure products with a suction base securley to surfaces

Once the vacuum is created is there a shut off valve to keep the vacuum so the Venturi unit can be removed? It seems the hose would be the way of a tool such as circle jig or any routing projects!
Im interested in this vacuum system. Can it be used in a vacuum plate for a milling machine? How much force will it apply per Sq inch? What would the difference be between yours and the Pierson workholding vacuum thing that is close to 500$
I am wanting to de-gas silicone. Like this:

I plan to use the smaller Smooth-on vacuum chamber (seen here

Rather than buying an expensive vacuum pump ($600 and up), I am wondering if I could use your venturi with my Husky AirCompressor (2.0 SCFM, 135 PSI, 1.75 gallon).

Smooth-on specifies a minimum of 29 inches mercury and minimum airflow of 8 CFM. ( I think that is what's needed for their larger chamber ... I am not sure how those values would change for the smaller chamber.

Do you think the venturi would work?

Can this equipment be used on a lathe in conjunction with a vacuum chuck as the source of vacuum?
Hello, I was wanting to know about the dimensions of the tube fitting that comes with the kit.
What is the maximum Vacuum pressure?
