We talk to woodworkers all the time who are looking for a high-quality router table system for small shops, or job site use where a full-sized router table is not an option. In the past most were forced to make do with inferior quality or poorly designed tables that don't provide the support or versatility that most woodworkers need. The market was lacking a full-featured portable router station which is why we developed our Portable Router Table System, PRTS-100. It comes flat-packed with assembly instructions that make it easy to set up and get routing. The Portable Router Table System, PRTS-100 shares its DNA with other Infinity Tools Router Table Packages but is built around the 'portable' concept while using a modern variable speed compact/trim router. With excellent compact router offerings from companies like DeWalt, Bosch, Milwaukee, and several others, the small form router has firmly taken its place in modern woodworking and is a perfect match for our portable router system.
The PRTS-100 tabletop is made of a 3/4"thick exterior rated premium plycore plywood with Microdot laminate top, making it tough and durable. Just like our full-sized router tabletop, we include a pair of anodized aluminum T-tracks for mounting the fence that terminates with dust relief holes so they won't clog with sawdust. A 1/4-20 sized T-track runs the length of the table for mounting feather-boards and material stops. With an overall dimension of 15-1/4" x 23-1/4" this table is big enough to do some serious work.
To mount your compact router in the table, we include a 6" Universal Router Base Plate for compact routers, item 115-038. This base plate is made of 3/8" clear acrylic and is pre-drilled to fit most compact routers on the market. Because it's round, you are able to "clock" your router to make accessing the power switch and bit height adjustments easier.
We know many woodworkers need to get double duty from their router so we made installing and removing the router easy. Four adjustment screws in the table allow the plate to be adjusted perfectly flush with the table surface, and a pair of wing nut secured hold-downs can be installed wherever needed to keep the router from moving.
To support the table and router the PRTS has a cabinet-style enclosed stand that is outfitted specifically to be hooked up to your shop vac or dust collector with a 2-1/2" hose.
The clear sliding front door makes accessing your router easy and the included cord wrap mounts to the side of the cabinet to keep your router's power cord organized when not in use.
The front of the cabinet has a pair of pre-drilled 3/8" holes to allow adjustable fence clamps to be used to secure the router table to your workbench, tool stand, or tailgate when on the job site. These clamps come in a couple of different styles, but our favorites are the Milescraft Adjustable Fence Clamps (100-539). They will fit benches from 3/4" to over 5" thick.
In order to make the PRTS as versatile as possible, we made the fence compatible with just about every router table accessory on the market including the Infinity Router Fence Flip Stop, FSS-RTF, all 1/4"-20 mounted feather boards, and Jessem Clear Cut Router Table Stock Guides, RTF-SG1. The fence comes almost completely assembled needing only the dust collection port, knobs, and router bit guard to be installed. It's constructed of 3/4" exterior grade plycore plywood and a pair of adjustable Plycore/ Micro-Dot fence faces keep workpieces sliding freely. The anodized extruded aluminum top rail gives you a place to mount all of your favorite 1/4"-20 T-track accessories. The tall locking knobs make adjusting the fence location easy and the included router bit guard helps keep your fingers safely away from the spinning router bit.
