Arguably the most complete router table package on the market today, our RTP-103 Professional Router Table Package includes our heavy-duty router table stand, universal router table top, JessEm's Mast-R-Fence II, Infinity Tools' Aluminum Router Table Insert Plate and Triton's 3.25 Plunge Router. All of these top-quality parts are fast and easy to assemble and (more importantly) the package is an absolute joy to use.

Starting from the bottom up, we have our heavy-duty router table stand with included leveling pads. This is an incredibly sturdy stand, it's made of 3mm and 2mm thick steel that is both rigid and weighs more than 40 lbs. It's adjustable from 22-1/4" to 43-3/4" allowing you to set your table at a very comfortable working height.  The included leg levelers are independently adjustable which means that you can set up your table on a slightly uneven floor if necessary and it will still be rock solid. There are two extra support bars that run front to back to add more rigidity to the router table and help prevent any chance of sagging over time.  It also has an extra set of support bars that wrap midway around the stand and add even more stiffness to the table.  These support bars also allow you to add extra shelves to the table for more storage, and who doesn't appreciate shelving?

Our Universal Router Table Top is a full 1 1/8" thick and features a Microdot easy glide laminate surface. Think of Microdot like a bed of air for your workpiece, it makes pushing your stock across the table a low friction event with minimal resistance. You'll appreciate this super smooth gliding action every time you use the table. Locally made on a C.N.C. router, we use a 1" thick MDF core that is pressure laminated, creating a very flat and heavy table surface. Measuring 24" x 32", this full-size tabletop makes it easy to get control of even longer pieces of stock, a definite upgrade when compared to smaller sized tables.  There's an aluminum extruded combination miter and mini t-track which accepts 3/4" and 3/8" miter gauges and 1/4" x 20 hex bolts. These are industry standards which means the track will accept most aftermarket feather boards and jigs as well as your own shop-made fixtures.  And last but not least, we pre-drill guide holes into the underside of the tabletop to make mounting the router stand and the JessEm Router Fence quick and easy.

Speaking of the router table fences, Jessem's Mast-R-Fence II is a wonderfully engineered bit of kit. It features a dual-track fastening system with adjustable scales that can be set for a zero reference and fast repeatable cuts. The backbone of the unit is an ultra-precise extrusion that is precision machined from 6061 aluminum and hard anodized for years of service. The fence glides smooth in the tracks and locks firmly with the twist of the "high-boy" lock-down knobs. It includes PVC-coated phenolic sub fences and a fantastic 2.25" dust port with a large chamber that won't clog up. Also included with the fence are two unique face-shimming bars. These bars are made of anodized aluminum with one side designed to offset the fence face 1/32" and the other 1/16". This is a great feature for jointing operations and when not in use they conveniently store on the backside of the fence. Rounding out the fence's features, it also comes with a 4" adjustable bit guard to keep your hands free from danger.

Triton's 3.25hp plunge router with built-in lift is what makes this package such an incredible value. Think about it, a separate router lift will cost hundreds of dollars but since the Triton already includes this killer feature you'll be able to put that money towards some great quality router bits, not bad eh?  The Triton router can be used either in the table or as a handheld plunge router with a very simple changeover.  It features an electronically controlled variable speed motor with soft start and a micro winder for fine depth height adjustment. Once installed in the Infinity Tools Hard-anodized Aluminum Insert Plate, bit changes can be easily done above the table. This is an award-winning router. For complete details and a pretty cool video click here.

So your thinking "But HOW does the router fit into the table?" Ahh, we're glad you asked. Infinity Tools Aluminum Router Plate for Triton Routers is designed to fit directly onto the Triton router with pre-drilled holes that make installation super fast and easy. The router plate is made from high-quality cast aluminum and is very stiff and strong. The low friction black-anodized surface allows your workpiece to glide smoothly and with less friction. It features top-mounted leveling screws and adjustable side-mounted spring-loaded plunges to help you achieve a perfect fit. The router plate itself has a 3-9/16" opening to fit any commonly available router bit. You can get an additional set of matching tab-lock rings to better fit any router bit you put in your table.

Assembly of the RTP-103 router table package is a pretty simple and fast job.  With the router table stand, you simply follow the instructions and assemble it like it's your favorite construction set from when you were a kid.  The only thing you really need to pay attention to figuring out the most comfortable height for the stand before you attach it to the router table. Remember, this stand is adjustable from 22-1/4" to 43-3/4". Use the levelers after the assembly and before you place on the top to really get a secure feel on the floor.

As we mention above, the router tabletop is pre-drilled to accept both the stand and the router fence. The pre-drilled guide holes make this part so easy. Secure the router tabletop to the stand using the existing guide holes and the 10 provided screws.  You can also attach the tabletop support bars before you attach the table to the stand. Again, use the pre-drilled holes.

The fence is assembled by joining the track with the mounting bracket using the provided hex bolts. Simply loosen the hex bolts and slide on the bracket.  The track mounts to the underside of the tabletop using the pre-drilled holes. Slide a 3/4" hex nut into each of the tracks and place the fence on the table over the bolts.  Align the extension knobs over the bolts and thread them on through the fence's extension bolt slots.  The sliding scales on the two tracks can be adjusted using the knurled knob on the underside of the scale's track. To use the offset shims, simply loosen the outfeed sub fence (you do not need to pull it all the way off) and slide a shim onto the upper and lower tracks behind the sub fence.  The offset shims can be stored on the back of the fence's extruded track so they are out of the way when not in use.  Be careful as the shims are two-sided. One side measures 1/32" while the other is 1/16".

To mount the Triton router to the plate, you will need to remove the Triton's base plate and the plunge spring.  The Triton's base plate is easy to remove as there are just a few screws holding it on. The Plunge spring is removed by extending the Triton's base all the way out, then loosening the bolt next to the plunge spring cap, turning the cap partially while having a firm grip on the cap (it was like a jack in the box first time I did it, as I had not extended the base all the way out). Once the spring is removed, you place the Woodpecker plate onto the base.  Make sure you align the lift lever hole on the base plate over the lift lever connection on the router.  You may want to loosen up the adjustable plunge pins on the sides of the Woodpecker fence until there is minimal resistance when the plate is inserted.  If the plunge pins are too far out, there is a possibility it will mar the tabletop.

So there you have it. Our RTP-103 Router Table Package is probably the most complete system on the market today. It features top components with features you'll find useful every time you use it. We hope you enjoy it over a lifetime of routing and that it helps you make great woodworking projects.
