Panel shrinkage and movement is an age old problem when making real wood doors. Our 1/4" diameter space balls automatically center your panel in your frame to prevent panel cracking and annoying rattle. If the panel expands the Space Balls compress, this prevents glue joint cracking and takes up any slack between panel and door frame. Six to eight Space Balls per door are recommended. Each synthetic rubber ball measures .260" and will fit precisely inside the groove. Also recommended for plywood door panels as the space ball will compress and center the panel in the door frame.
