Use our Self-Centering Dowel Jig to make very strong joinery and beautiful custom furniture.

Detailed Description

Using simple wood dowels is a good way to make strong joinery for any woodworking project. This jig is very easy to use and is particularly good for face frame, butt joint and mitered joints. Our jig features an automatic self-centering action that assures accurate center drilling every time, even on round objects. The large clamping screws tighten the smooth, non-marring aluminum sides like a vise and will work with stock from ¼" to 2-3/8" thick. There are four tapped holes that take the supplied drill bushings and allow you to make a combination of different size holes. We supply four each of the precision insert bushings for the three most popular dowel sizes; ¼", 5/16" and 3/8". The holes are ¾" from center to center for perfect dowel placement. Adding a spacer block allows you to make offset holes in your material that is very handy for furniture makers.
