Easy-to-use Door Mortise Kit is a great hinge installation helper. For 1-3/8" & 1-3/4" thick stock.

Rout hinge plate, strike plate and latch plate mortises in doors and jambs

This drop-in door mortise template kit is easy to use and makes door hinge installation a snap. Use it to make accurate mortises for hinge, strike plate and latch plates in 1-3/8" as well as 1-3/4" thick doors.

Product features include;

  • Drop-in templates clearly marked for common door hardware sizes
  • Centered tape measure tabs ensure accurate placement of door hardware
  • Reversible design
  • For square and rounded (1/4" & 5/8" radius) hinges
  • Frame made from steel with door thickness selector knobs.
  • Sets easily for 1-3/8" or 1-3/4" thick doors
  • Router bit included
  • Templates for the following mortises
    • Hinges (square or rounded) 2-1/2", 3", 3-1/2", 4" and 4-1/2"
    • Strike plates 1-1/8" x 2-3/4", 1-1/2" x 2-1/4", 1-1/2" x 2-3/4"
    • Latch Plates 1" x 2-1/4", 1-1/8" x 2-1/4", 1-1/8" x 2-3/4"
