Extra-Large Base Plate Offers 'Extra' Stability. Now Accepts Template Guides!
Standard router base plates are small and fragile, giving you only the minimum amount of support while routing. Even worse, many standard plates are not see-thru, this can be a safety issue since it's always better to see your workpiece while routing. Our heavy-duty replacement router plate is made from a full 3/8" thick piece of Acrylic for extra durability. This accessory is truly a must-have if using our new Router Bowl & Tray Templates. Template and pattern work is no problem when using our optional Brass Template Guides.
Setup is fast and easy. Use our Base Plate Alignment Kit (item: 115-040) to center the plate on your router's sub-base, then mark your hole pattern and drill with a countersink drill bit to get your custom setup. You'll love the extra stability of its oversized 11-3/8" footprint as compared to your router's standard base plate and you'll feel more comfortable tackling those tricky jobs.
